Date & Time:

Saturday, October 3, 2020
9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Volunteers:

10 have signed up & 90 openings remain.

Project Leaders:

Dave Raetz

Description:

“My name is Dave, and my wife (Linda) and I are the leaders of this project. We would begin focusing on the area at Spreckles Avenue and work our way to Main Street. I envision our team removing larger weeds and placing them in a few piles that would be picked up by volunteers with trucks and moved to a designated spot.  The team would smooth mulch in assigned sections and then advance to the next assigned section. If you have any questions, you can contact me at de.raetz@gmail.com.  Years ago Crossroads planted all the trees, and we’re following through on their care.”

ALL VOLUNTEERS - please bring your work gloves.

NEEDED EQUIPMENT - The following items can be brought by volunteers: heavy-duty hoes, leaf rakes, and pitchforks (but some tools will be available on-site).  If you have a truck you would like to use on the trail, you will need to “register” it with this project.  To do so, send a picture of your current CDL, auto registration, and insurance card to jimtodd@lovemanteca.com

Love Manteca would like to kindly ask that you respect the safety of all involved in this amazing day by following health and safety protocols.  While performing your project, please practice social distancing of 6+ feet, wear a face mask, and regularly sanitize your hands.  If you feel at all ill, we ask you to contact your project leader and refrain from participating in this day.
